Internships completed!

So it's been a long time. I've had a lot of issues with real life stuff. My internships at Full Sail are completed, so I will be uploading the animations and breakdown tests I created for it. I feel like my internships were a success, even though a lot of issues rose during them. Thankfully those are now out of the way and I can focus on getting a job.

I finally have some time (and I remembered) to update with some progress. I have a Breakdown test that I did in 4 hours today, as well as a Basic Walk cycle.

The walk cycle really needs more work, the rig's controls are a bit odd and I have to rework the walk due to not using some controls properly. Well that's how you learn I guess.

Internship begins

It has been some time since the last update here.

I have begun my three month internship at Full Sail University in the Character Animation course. My duties involve testing student projects 30 hours a week. Of course I plan to work on my own projects for my demo reel on top of that.

There should be some updates in the future showing the basic work I am doing and some of my own animation tests and playblasts. I may even show some of the storyboards/exploratory poses if any of them are interesting enough. Expect an update to follow on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Also, my stupid face forgot to fix the email placeholder on the demo reel graphic, website, etc. I fixed it on everything but the demo reel intro and outro. Good thing I didn't print out business cards or anything yet, that would've been an awesome waste of money.

Graduation and future

I've completed my education at Full Sail University. My demo reel, while not as good as I had personally wanted, is hosted on the Demo Reel page. The demo reel will move to my main website when I find a good host for it.

Around mid January I will be pursuing an internship position at Full Sail, so let's see how that goes. Lots of progress to me made, and lots left to learn. I will be posting updates on the projects I am to complete while interning, so look out for that.

The beginning

This is the first post in this blog, obviously. I will be using this to set up some objectives and the purpose of this blog.

I believe that I should use this blog as a means to show my progress on projects that I am working on at internships or side-projects. Hopefully by doing this I will see myself grow as an Animator.

I have no progress to show of anything yet, but with luck I will be able to start posting weekly updates around the middle of January.
